Воздушный бой JG5 и авиации СФ 25-26.05.1944 у Варангера
Уважаемые друзья,
наткнулся в сети вот на какую информацию:

On 25th of May 1944 the Russians attacked a German convoy near Varanger peninsula with approximately 90-100 planes consisting of A-20s,P-40s and P-39s.The ninth Staffel of JG 5 with 19 planes was against them and while the Russians managed to sink one merchant ship,the Germans claimed to have shot down 20 A-20s,9 Airacobras and 8 P-40s with no losses to themselves.(some overclaiming there I would say!)
In the early morning hours next day the Russians repeated their attack with 80-100 planes and the ninth Staffel was again combating them.In this combat the Germans claimed to have shot down 10 A-20s,10 P-40s,9 Il-2s and 8 Airacobras.Hauptmann Heinrich Ehler(Gruppenkommandeur of the third Gruppe of JG 5) claimed air victories Nos. 151-155,his wingman Uffz.Rudolf Artner Nos. 4-5

В двух словах по-русски - отбивая две наши атаки на конвой, немцы заявили ни много ни мало 2х37=74 победы...
В связи с этим вопрос: какова картина боя с нашей стороны? Буду признателен, если специалисты по Северу дадут к.-л. информацию.

в качестве комментария к фоткам обломков одного Р-40 и одной Р-39, сбитых у Варангера в том бою (полезные фотографии для моделистов). Про пилота Р-40 вот какая информация:
The P-40 was a N-model and it belonged to the second squadron of the 78thFighter Aviation Regiment of the Northern Fleet(2./78 MIAP).The unit operated from Vaenga II air base near Murmansk.The pilot of the Curtiss was Sub.Lt.Andrey Sergeyevich Kovalenko and he was killed.It is said that his remains were only buried in the seventies.
