On 17.07.41, the two motorized brigades had arrived in the area of Dunajewczy and Kamieniec-Podolski. They were in reserve behind the German VII. Armeekorps (German 100., 101., and 257. Inf.Div.) which had the mission of breaking through the Stalin Line. After the successful German assault, the three brigades of the Mobile Corps resumed operations. The two motorized brigades crossed the battered Stalin Line at Jeltuszkowo and advanced initially northwards, reaching Bar on 19.07.41 without encountering serious resistance.
On 20.07.41 the 1st Mot.Brig. defeated several Soviet battalions at Stanislawczyk while supporting the German 100. Infanterie-Division.
The 1st Mot.Brig. reached Rogozna on the Bug River on 21.07.41. The brigade established a bridgehead on the east side of the river, which was soon taken over by the 1st Cav.Brig. This enabled the 1st Mot.Brig. to concentrate its entire force against Petschara, taking the burning city on 22.07.41 after bitter fighting.
In the meantime, the 2nd Mot.Brig. had been fighting with no less success, and took Szpikow and Kopijewka on 22. and 23.07.41, respectively.
