AS.321G производился по лицензии в Китае в 1989-1994гг. под обозначением Z-8. Поставлено 7 вертолетов Z-8 для флота КНР.

    В том-то и дело что я нигде не встречал точных упоминаний что они его делают именно ПО ЛИЦЕНЗИИ - в отличие от Z-9 о лицензионном соглашении на который пишут везде. А вот в случае с Z-8 похоже никакой лицензией и не пахнет.

    Jane's Fighting Ships 1999/2000 o Z-8:

    ASW helicopter SA 321G delivered from France but now
    being supplemented by locally built Zhi-8 of which the first operational
    aircraft was delivered in late 1991. Thomson Sintra HS-12 in four SA 321Gs
    for SSBN escort role. Sensors: HS-12 dipping sonar and processor some
    have French-built search radar. Weapons: ASW Whitehead A244 or Yu-2
    (Mk 46 Mod 1) torpedo. ASV C-802K ASM.


    Jane's All the World Aircraft:

    CHAIC Z-8
    Chinese name: Zhishengji-8 (Vertical take-off aircraft 8)
    TYPE: Multirole military and civil helicopter.
    PROGRAMME: Design work begun 1976 but suspended from 1979 to
    mid-1984 initial flight of first prototype 11 December 1985 second
    prototype October 1987 domestic type approval awarded 8 April 1989
    first Z-8 handed over to PLA Naval Air Force for service trials 5
    August 1989 initial production approved final design approval
    granted 12 November 1994. Applications can include troop transport
    ASW/ASV search and rescue minelaying/sweeping aerial survey and
    firefighting.
    CURRENT VERSIONS: Standard version as described.
    CUSTOMERS: Total of 12 delivered to Chinese People's Navy (apparently
    the only customer so far) by end of 1996.
    DESIGN FEATURES: Chinese equivalent of Aerospatiale Super Frelon (see
    1982-83 Jane's) of which 16 were supplied to the People's Navy in
    1977-78. Six-blade main rotor and five-blade tail rotor boat-hull
    fuselage with watertight compartments inside planing bottom
    stabilising float at rear each side attached to small stub-wing
    small strut-braced fixed horizontal stabiliser on starboard side of
    tail rotor pylon. Search radar in nose `thimble' on SAR version.

    Как видите здесь фигурирует термин "китайский эквивалент" "Супер Фрелона". И снова ни слова о лицензии.


    А вот специальный "джейнсовский" выпуск 1997 г "China's Aerospace Industry":

    В разделе "Вертолеты" прямо говорится что Z-8 является именно "копией":
    "Z-8 which
    was a copy of a foreign design (French SA-321G "Super Frelon")".

    Ничего не говорится о лицензионности и на сайте

    Наоборот по смыслу подразумевается немного обратное:
    "Changhe began the reverse engineering work of the 'Super Frelon' in 1976. The first flight of Chinese-made 'Super Frelon' which was designated as Z-8 took place on 11th Dec 1985. However due to various technical problems only a small number of Z-8s (fewer than 20) have been built fifteen years after the first flight".

    "Z-8 is a land or ship based ASW/SAR helicopter based upon French SA-321Ja Super Frelon (13 were bought in the late 70s serial numbers 94x6 95x6).     Как видите большинство источников дают цифры от 12 до 20 причем производство видимо продолжается.

    Кстати Z-11 китаезы по всей видимости тоже содрали - с "Экюрея".
