SB with construction number 424

Zdravstvuyte Vladimir i Alexander,

you may find this interesting - my only references are Maslov's book and Kotelnikov's articles in Mir Aviatsiyi:

When they refer to airplanes made in 1936 and 1937, both authors use construction numbers which start with 22 (obviously designating Zavod 22) followed by the number which designate each plane produced, counting from the beginning of the production at the plant. So, 424th production airplane would have had construction number 22424.

Only when they describe prototypes of the 96th series from 1938 and airplanes made later, they use construction numbers that AR describes; fractions, with denominator representing Series number and numerator representing individual airplanes within the series. 1/83 would be the first aircraft of the 83rd series.

The question posted on the Spanish forum is: When (exact date) and where (plant) was built the SB with construction number 424? This aircraft was delivered to Spain with the second batch of SBs in 1937.

Again, using only published data, my guess is March 1937, probably the last serie of airplanes with M-100 engines, before production switched to M-100A.

It would be nice to find exact answer to the questin from the Spanish forum. Can anybody help???

Best regards,
Konstantin
