"III. Markings
Enemy plane camouflage has got some new changes. In addition to the normal green there has been sightings of striped (camouflage) paintings. Of the colours has the flecked (пёстрый?) black and bright green (combination) proved to be excellent against green background.
The upper surface of the armoured plane found at Jappila was painted with the ordinary "brown-green" (=brownish green! – one colour only on top, KL), but the underside was instead (!*) light blue.
Sometimes it has been observed that the star markings on wings are completely missing, at times the red stars have been quite dark and unclear."
* Implicates that for Finns some other colour than light blue was the "ordinary" VVS underside colour at the time (1941)!
