Катастрофа Як-28П в Западном Берлине 6. апреля 1966г.
Вот друг прислал информацию из Германии
6-го апреля 1966 года Як-28П советской авиабазы Eberswalde-Finow упал в маленькое озеро в британском Секторе Западного Берлина. (Я хорошо помню это, мне было 13). Пилоты не катапультировались. Поскольку реактивный самолет врезался в озеро, никто из посторонних не пострадал.
Сейчас появилась публикация в FLIEGERREVUE EXTRA с большим количеством информации о том несчастном случае.

At 06. April 1966 crashed Jak-28P from Soviet Airbase Eberswalde-Finow into small lake at British Sector of West-Berlin. (I can good remember it, I was 13). The pilots did not eject. Because the jet crashed into the lake, there were not any people killed.
Now was report at journal FLIEGERREVUE EXTRA with more information about this accident.
When the Englishmen recovered the Jak, at the shore of the lake was also a lot of Soviet officers with its leader General Bulanow. He demanded to recover the Jak by Soviet troops, but the Englishmen denied this. But they gave the promise to revover the Jak carefully and to give to the Soviets.
The pilots were recovered already at night of 06. April by the Englishmen, but the dead bodies were hidden under water for two days. The reason was, that the Englishmen secretly recovered the engines and the Orjol-D Radar at night. The engines and the Orjel-D were quickly sent to Great Britain to Farnborough and came back at 08. April. Then the whole aircraft with engines and Orel-D was really recovered and given to the Soviets.
But Soviet experts quickly realised, that the Jak was already examined by the Englishmen, because they had cut some pieces of the engines.
